The officer in charge of the Companiganj (OC) police station Mir Zahidul Haque Rony and more than 50 people, including six policemen, were injured in the confrontation. At least 13 people were shot. One of them named Jaker Hossain Hridoy (General Secretary of the Companiganj Upazila Chhatra League) has been sent to Dhaka for better treatment.
