Lawyer Moudud Ahmed, a member of the BNP standing committee and former minister of law, has been admitted to the ICU at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. Moudud Ahmed’s condition improved after he was transferred to the hospital ICU in critical condition on Tuesday (March 9) afternoon.
Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP president’s press wing, confirmed the information to the media. He said Moudud Ahmed was admitted to the ICU due to his deteriorating condition. At present his condition is somewhat better. Shairul Kabir is with Moudud Ahmed.
Shairul Kabir Khan said, now he (Moudud) can move. But his condition was critical on Tuesday.
Moudud Ahmed was admitted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on February 2 for advanced treatment.
Moudud’s personal assistant, Mominur Rahman Sujan, told the media on Tuesday (March 9) that water had been collecting in Sir’s lungs for the past 12 days. Due to which the oxygen uptake in the lungs is completely reduced. In addition, his kidney complications have also appeared.
Doctors rushed him to the ICU when his condition deteriorated. Moudud is being treated there under the care of cardiologist Charles Thor. His wife Hasna Moudud is also in Singapore.
Moudud Ahmed was admitted to the CCU of the Apollo Hospital in the capital on December 29 after falling ill. His blood hemoglobin was low. Later he recovered. There were two Kavid-19 tests and a negative corona report was found each time. There, a permanent pacemaker was implanted in her heart due to a blockage in her heart.
On January 13, he was transferred from CCU to the cabin. When he recovered, he was taken home from the hospital on January 20. He was admitted to the hospital again on January 21. From there, he left the country on a Singapore Airlines flight at 12 midnight on February 2 for advanced treatment.
Moudud is accompanied by his wife Hasna Jasimuddin Moudud Ahmed in Singapore. He asked for prayers from the family and the party in the court of Allah Almighty through the compatriots.
