Chittagong police officers released the details of his jailbreak after his arrest on Tuesday.

Explaining the reason for Rubel’s escape from jail, Kotwali Police Station OC Nezam Uddin told bdnews24.com that there were several other cases against Rubel in addition to the murder case. He had been in jail before in those cases.

Rubel was due to be admitted to the hospital for treatment on Tuesday, the investigating officer said, citing family members.
Rubel told police that he had a motorcycle in Narsingdi. It was supposed to be sold on Tuesday for treatment. He was captured before that.
After his arrest, Rubel was first taken to Chittagong and taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. He was taken to the Kotwali Police Station around 6 pm for treatment.
Later, the court sent him to Chittagong Central Jail, from where he escaped three days ago.
Rafiqul Islam from Chittagong Central Prison and Abu Sadat from the adjoining district have been removed and two prison guards have already been fired in connection with the “disappearance” incident; The prison authorities have also formed a three-member investigative committee.
The investigative committee began work on Monday and first searched the interior of the jail with members of the fire service. Rubel was captured a day later.
