BNP Deputy Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said: “The bell for the fall of this government has sounded. People have started to take to the streets. Students and people will leave the road after the fall of this government.

Rizvi made the remarks at a brief rally in Dhanmondi on Friday night to protest the release of BNP President Khaleda Zia and the death of writer Mushtaq Ahmed in government custody. The torch procession went from the Shankar bus stop area to Dhanmondi No. 27. The program was organized by Jewel, President of Dhaka Metropolitan West Chhatra Dal.

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi further said: “The torture of the writer Mushtaq has been proven in the statement of the teenage cartoonist. You have seen the news in various media that cartoonist Kishore and Mushtaq have been brutally tortured. But the government will not be saved by torture and oppression.
