Professor Mushtaq Ahmed, a professor in the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Rajshahi University, who complained about this, said: “After the news of Sadeka Halim’s research theft broke, we became concerned about higher education.” . The matter is an embarrassment to professors across the country, including Dhaka University. As a professor, I have briefed the Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University on this matter. I have demanded that you investigate the matter.

Muhammad Omar Farooq, an assistant professor in the Department of Islamic History and Culture, also received the same punishment for plagiarism in his doctoral research.

The court created to decide the sentences of Samia and Marjan had proposed to cancel the increase one by one. But on the whole, the union rejected the proposal and demoted them both.

Referring to the matter as a ‘conspiracy’, Samia Rahman pointed out that some people from the university administration and some professors were involved in it. However, he asked journalists to find out the names of the culprits.
