The Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Anisul Haque, has expressed his deep sorrow over the death of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s political adviser, Hossain Tawfiq Imam (HT Imam).
In a message of condolence Thursday, the minister asked for the forgiveness of the deceased soul and conveyed deep condolences to his grieving family.
In his message of condolence, the minister said that HT Imam had a colorful career. He left the government of Pakistan in 1971 and joined the great liberation war. After that, he worked all his life for the implementation of the spirit of great freedom and liberation war. Furthermore, he has served successfully as an advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for nearly a century. The Bengali nation will respectfully remember your contribution.
HT Imam, the country’s first cabinet secretary, was 72 years old. After the formation of the Awami League government in 2009, he served as an advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. At first he acted as a public administration advisor. Later he was appointed political adviser to the prime minister.
