The famous pop star knows that Alam is dead. He took his last breath on Tuesday (March 2) around 10:45 pm while undergoing treatment at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the capital.

CD Choice boss Zahirul Islam Sohel confirmed the news of his death to banglanews. He said the legend died from the corona virus.

Sohail said Jane Alam was admitted to BSMMU after being attacked by Corona. However, he was free of the virus. But then he contracted pneumonia. He was taken to life support when his condition deteriorated Tuesday. But after all the efforts of the doctors failed, he did not return to the country.

Alam, known as the musician known for ‘Ekti Gandhamer Lagia’, was born in Harirampur, Manikganj. Jane Alam has four pop music architects: Feroz Sai, Azam Khan, and Ferdous Wahid.

His songs began shortly after independence. ‘Banamali’ was Jaane Alam’s first album. It was through this album that his knowledge spread. Originally, he considered pop artist Azam Khan as his inspiration or role model. He created a different genre by adding folk flair and spiritualism to pop songs.
