Last Saturday, on the basis of secret news, the operation was carried out from the Pallabi area in Mirpur. Mehedi Hasan Bhuiyan aka Sunny (28), Rezaul Amin Hridoy (26), Mir Hisamuddin Bayezid (38), Md. Siam Ahmed aka Robin (21), Md. Yunus Ali, 30, and Arju Islam Jim, 22, they were arrested. Numerous sex toys, five mobile phones, a laptop and nine SIM cards from different companies were seized from them. The main objective of this organized cycle is adolescents and thirty-somethings. Buyers buy these sex toys from them by contacting them via their mobile phones provided online.
This additional DIG from CID said that this cycle used to advertise Sextoy on various websites, including social media Facebook. The cycle targeted those who lived alone, as well as college students as shoppers. The CID cyber investigation team has already arrested six people, including Mulhota, from Pallabi in Mirpur, the capital, on the basis of specific allegations while investigating the student’s death.
The CID official said that the CID cyber investigation and monitoring team found multiple cycles organized in a comprehensive search. These groups keep their identities secret and advertise on various websites and Facebook pages with images and videos of various sexually provocative products. The cyber investigation and monitoring team was finally able to identify such websites and Facebook pages by following them for a long time. They used to bring these illegal products into the country illegally under the pretext of importing legal products from abroad. The toy was subsequently sold at a high price through glamorous ads on social media. They carried out this type of activity behind DJ parties, hotels and restaurants forming groups using Likei and TikTuk as digital sales platforms. Financial transactions for the sale of these prohibited products were conducted through multiple channels, including bKash, cash, and rockets.
