“The 41st BCS exam will be held on time,” MA Khair, the ministry’s information and public relations officer, told bdnews24.com on Monday night.
The Public Service Commission announced March 19 as the day of BCS’s 41st Preliminary Examination.
The education minister said in a surprise virtual press conference Monday afternoon amid student movements at various universities to reopen the hall, which had been closed for a year due to the epidemic, as well as to postpone BCS exams.

Dipu Moni said: “Many of our students have applied for the BCS exam or are waiting for the BCS exam.
“The application for the BCS exam and the exam date will be postponed. A new date will be announced according to the opening date of the university ”.
2,017 people will get government jobs through the 41st BCS. The 42nd BCS Special Exam will be held this month.
Subsequently, the PSC has set the date for the preliminary examination of the 43rd BCS to be August 6. Applications can be submitted until March 31 to participate in the test.
One thousand 614 people will be recruited into different cadres through the 43rd BCS.
The education minister said the country’s universities would open on May 24 after Eid-ul-Fitr, and residential corridors would open on May 16 a week earlier.
He further said that the government will make the appropriate decision to ensure that no student is harmed by the age limit to apply for the BCS exam due to the coronavirus epidemic.
