Millions of tourists have flocked to the resort town of Cox’s Bazar on the occasion of International Mother Language Day and the weekly holiday on February 21.
All rooms in more than 450 hotels, motels and resorts are already reserved for the holidays. These hotels and resorts have the opportunity to accommodate 1.5 lakh people. But this time hundreds of tourists had to suffer on Friday night, the first day of vacation, because the tourists were sold out.
Like Friday, people also saw the sand dunes of the beach and the alleys of the hotel-motel area. From the diabetic point of the beach to Kalatali, the number of tourists seemed to decrease. Apart from this, crowds of tourists have been seen at various tourist spots including Nagar, Himchhari, Sampan Mermaid Beach and Eco Resort, Sonar Para Inani, Seeperl, Patuar Tech, St. Martin.
Tourists and the district police are on high alert to ensure the safety of tourists. Additional police officers have also been deployed. Tourist places have been placed under CCTV to avoid any adverse incidents. There is a rapid general treatment and supply of drinking water by the tourist police on the beach.
Lifeguards are on high alert to protect endangered tourists as they bathe. In addition, the beach workers of the district administration are communicating with tourist councils to be aware of hygiene rules to prevent corona infection.
