ATM Shamsuzzaman no longer exists. He died at his home in Sutrapur, Old Dhaka, around 9 am on Saturday (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Raziun). The actor’s younger brother, Saleh Zaman Selim, confirmed this information to NTV Online.

ATM Shamsuzzaman, one of the most popular actors in Bangladesh, was simultaneously director, narrator, screenwriter, dialogue writer and storyteller. He has won the National Film Award more than once for his performance. He received the Ekushey Padak in 2015 for his contribution to the arts.

ATM Shamsuzzaman was born on September 10, 1941 at Nanabari in Daulatpur, Noakhali. The people’s house was Barbari from Bholakot in Laxmipur district and Devendra Nath Das Lane from Old Dhaka lived in Dhaka. He studied at Pogoj School, Collegiate School, Loknath High School, Rajshahi. His father Nuruzzaman was a very well known lawyer and used to do politics with Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque.
