The locals arrested Mominul Islam Momin, principal of Natipota High School in Damurhuda upazila de Chuadanga, along with a woman. After his arrest, he was handcuffed and handed over to the police. The incident took place in the Bhagiratpur village of upazila around 8pm on Saturday. The arrested Momin is the general secretary of the Natipota Union Awami League. Two counterclaims have been filed in this regard.
According to locals, Mominul Islam was detained by a woman at a house in the Upazila village of Bhagiratpur on Saturday night. They washed it and reported it to the Damurhuda Model Police Station. The police rescued him from the scene and took him to the police station after first aid at the Upazila Health Complex.
Momin Master detained said the woman called him and caused the incident.
Second Model Police Officer SI Baki Billah said the woman’s side had filed a rape complaint that night. On the other hand, Momin Master himself has been called as a plaintiff and has filed a written complaint alleging that he was framed and beaten.
