A court issued an arrest warrant for singer Mila Islam and her accomplice Kim in a case brought against her ex-husband Pervez Sanjari for acid attack. A judge at the Dhaka Acid Suppression Court issued an arrest warrant against them for failing to appear in court on the scheduled date while they were on bail.
Regarding the arrest warrant in Tamil, the police officer in charge of Pallabi, Kazi Wazed Ali, told the media on Friday (February 12) morning that the arrest of Mila and her accomplice Kim was being recorded. Miller’s home in Mirpur was also searched Thursday night, but is still out of reach. Hopefully we can arrest them soon and deliver them to court.
It was learned that the musician Mila and her collaborator Kim were charged in the CID investigation in the case of throwing acid at her ex-husband on June 2, 2019. Then, on December 30, 2020, the CID filed a charge sheet in court. Later, on January 26 this year, the Dhaka Acid Suppression Court issued an arrest warrant against the defendants and issued a crocodile warrant as they escaped. The arrest warrant issued by the court on February 9 reached the Pallabi police station. Since then, Pallabi police have been searching for the defendant Mila and her accomplice Kim. Despite multiple searches at their residences and possible locations, they have yet to be arrested. The family claims they have no idea where they are.
Miller’s accomplice, Kim, was arrested in July 2019 at a house in the Dhaka Cantonment and went to jail. He did not appear in court on bail later. Mila, on the other hand, is the number one defendant in the case. He had never faced court before.
