A distant nephew has been accused of raping his aunt (20) in Kaunia, Rangpur. The incident took place in the village of Sarangpur in Sarai Union of the Upazila on Wednesday night (February 10).
The housewife filed a case with the Rangpur Metropolitan Police on Thursday (February 11) alleging rape.
According to the victim’s family and police, a ninth-grade student from the Upazila Sarai Union village of Sarangpur raped a housewife alone in her room at around 3pm on Wednesday.
The teenager fled the scene when people from the next house came forward shouting at the housewife. The distant nephew of the teenage housewife.
Confirming the incident, the Officer-in-Charge (CO) of the Haragachh Police Station, Rezaul Karim, said that one case of rape had been recorded in this regard. The housewife was sent to the Rangpur Victim Support Center in the afternoon and the police are working to arrest the teenager.
