BNP Standing Committee Members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Nazrul Islam Khan, Ameer Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Selima Rahman and Ameer Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Retired Senior Vice President Hafizuddin Ahmed Bir Bikram, Retired Major Shahjam at a press conference at the office of the President in Gulshan Deputy Zahir Uddin Swapan and the president’s private secretary, Abdus Sattar, were present.

A meeting of the National Council of Freedom Fighters-Jamuka chaired by the Liberation War Affairs Minister AQM Mozammel Haque on February 9 decided to cancel the state titles of Ziaur Rahman, the confessed killers of Bangabandhu Shariful Haque Dalim, Nur Chowdhury and Mosleh Uddin.
