An old man named Jamaat Ali (60) was handed over to the police after he was gang raped while trying to rape three boys.
The incident took place in the Hampania village in Lalpur upazila de Natore on Monday (February 8) evening. The officer in charge (investigation) of the Lalpur Police Station, Abu Siddique, confirmed the information.
According to eyewitnesses and police sources, three children from the same area were returning home in front of Jamat Ali’s tea shop in the Hampania village of Lalpur upazila on Monday night. At that time, Jamaat Ali called the three children. Jamaat Ali told them to go to a room next to the store to give them chocolates.
Jamaat Ali closed the door when the children went into the room in response to his call. After a while, the pedestrians in front of the store heard screams and opened the door to the back of the store and rescued the three children. At that point, Jamaat grabbed Ali, tied him to a tree, and took the children to the village doctor.
Lalpur OC Police Station (investigation) Abu Siddique said that the defendant Jamaat Ali was arrested and taken to the police station. However, the children’s families have not yet filed a complaint.
