Dhaka: The cabinet has ordered the promulgation of the ordinances issued during the military government for next June.
The approval came at a virtual cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina (February 6), said Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam.
He said in a briefing at the secretariat after the meeting that an important issue had been decided. In 2013, the High Court ruled that ordinances (ordinances) that were issued from August 15 to 78 and September 75 to 86, 1968 should be selected and the necessary laws enacted. And those that are not necessary should be discarded.
There were ‘hundreds of these’ laws, they have all disappeared. Now there are 59 laws left. They have been listed according to each ministry and the cabinet has decided that they will become law next June. Some instructions have been given for this. ‘
The cabinet secretary said they may not know that many new secretaries are coming. We will sit down with them on January 20 and give them guidelines. For effective measures to be taken by sending them to Parliament before next June.
