ULAB student dies in Mohammadpur

Mohammadpur police arrested Farzana Zaman Neha, a chat partner of a ULAB student from the private university, who recently died after falling ill with friends. He was arrested in the Azimpur area of ​​the capital around 12pm on Thursday. He was detained for five days on Friday. The detainee Neha is known as ‘DJ Neha’ to her friends. Neha and her friend Arafat were the organizers of the party in Uttara where the tragic incident took place after drinking alcohol.

Tejgaon (DC) Division Deputy Commissioner Harun-ur-Rashid held a press conference at the Mohammadpur Police Station on Thursday night after his arrest. He said: “All the defendants in this case have been arrested by arresting Neha. He will be questioned to find out what happened that day. The charge sheet for the case will be sent after receiving the forensic report.

DC Harun said: ‘Neha and Arafat organized a party that night. 6 students died from poisonous alcohol. Police have found evidence that they regularly organized such parties and danced in various elite areas of the capital. Mohammadpur OC Abdul Latif Police Station said that eight students and Arafat were initially thought to have died due to excessive alcohol consumption.

It was learned that on the afternoon of January 26, five ULAB students (deceased) and five others, including her boyfriend Mortuza Raihan, went to a bamboo suit restaurant in Uttara and drank. He fell ill and died at noon on January 31 while undergoing treatment at the Anwar Khan Modern Hospital in Dhanmondi. Arafat also died of alcoholism. The girl’s father filed a case with the Mohammadpur Police Station alleging rape.
