“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked our scientists to do their research and her team, including these two scientists, responded to that call on their own initiative and they were able to make this discovery in a very short time,” he said.
He added: “Only a handful of countries in the world have been able to invent the vaccine and we are the second country in the subcontinent to have invented the corona virus vaccine. For this reason, I extend my sincere congratulations to scientists Kakon Nag and Nazneen Sultana and I am especially proud of these scientists, both students from the same department of Chemistry at Chittagong University. They really are the pride of the country.
“There has been a lot of talk about vaccines,” he said. Hasan said: “The propaganda that the vaccine will not arrive has been false.
