Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera has vigorously protested the report titled “All the Prime Minister’s Man.” The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Tuesday that the report was orderly and forward-looking. Propagated by imaginary and evil intentions.
A statement issued by ISPR Deputy Director Rashedul Alam Khan said: “This report, based on false and misleading information, is just an attempt by some vested interests to destabilize the country in recent times.” Mr. David Bergman, a convict convicted by the International Criminal Court, Mr. Zulkarnain Sayer Khan (pseudonym), a cadet expelled from the Bangladesh Military Academy for drug addiction, and Mr. Tasnim Khalil, editor-in-chief from The Unknown Eye News, were instrumental in compiling the report.
These dishonest and corrupt selfish individuals have already engaged in activities against Bangladesh by establishing links between them. It is not undesirable and incomprehensible for these people to deviate from mainstream journalism and engage in evil thoughts with an international media outlet like Al Jazeera. This report has been produced by ingeniously editing and attaching audio clips and images of various bureaucratic, social and personal activities of the country’s top military officers.
The report vigorously protests against false information released by the Bangladesh Army about the purchase of Internet and mobile monitoring equipment from Israel. In fact, signal equipment purchased from a Hungarian company for use in UN peacekeeping missions has been dubbed as purpose-built mobile monitoring technology imported from Israel. Neither the purchased equipment nor any of the related documents mention that they were manufactured in Israel. It should be noted here that since Israel does not have diplomatic relations with Bangladesh, there is no place for purchasing defense equipment or defense cooperation from that country.
The Bangladesh Army regards this false and fabricated report as an attempt to obstruct the prosperity and progress of the country by creating divisions and distances between the various state institutions. Under the current chain of command, this disciplined force has always been loyal to the constitution and government of the country. The Bangladesh Army is committed to the development and service of the homeland with unwavering respect for the government of the country. “
Al Jazeera issued the report “All the Prime Minister’s Man” on Monday. After that, the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement this morning stating that the report was politically motivated, unfounded and fabricated.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the Bangladeshi government had been informed of a false and defamatory report by Al Jazeera titled “All the Prime Minister’s Men.”
The report is nothing more than a series of deliberately misleading political propaganda based on the conspiracy of notorious individuals with the extremist organization Jamaat-e-Islami. The statement said that the organization (Jamaat-e-Islami) has opposed the progressive and secular policies of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh since its establishment as an independent state in 1971.
He further said that the report did not mention the horrific genocide of the 1971 War of Liberation, in which Jamaat was involved in the deaths of millions of Bengalis and the rape of two lakhs of women. The report is a reflection of Al Jazeera’s politically biased campaign. The main commentator on the report was David Bergman, who was convicted by the International Criminal Court of Bangladesh for challenging the official death toll in the liberation war.
It should be noted that the main “source” of the Al Jazeera accusations is an international criminal who Al Jazeera has claimed is a “mental patient”. The statement said the Bangladeshi government was rejecting the propaganda, which was instigated by extremists and their allies in London and elsewhere. There is evidence of socio-economic progress and development in Bangladesh.
Sadly, Al Jazeera has created an opportunity for propagandists to become “instruments of corrupt political design” with the aim of destabilizing the secular democratic government of Bangladesh.
