Severe cold wave in three districts

During this time, the nighttime temperature may rise slightly and the daytime temperature may rise 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.

In addition, a strong cold wave can blow over the Nilphamari, Chuadanga and Moulvibazar districts. Mild to moderate cold spells are likely to continue in the Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Barisal divisions and elsewhere in the Rangpur and Khulna divisions and in the Sitakunda, Rangamati, Comilla, Feni, Sandwip and Hatia regions. At this time, the wind speed from the northwest / north in Dhaka will be 08-12 km per hour.

Meanwhile, there is a hint of some improvement in the cold snap. The Meteorological Department said daytime and nighttime temperatures could gradually increase by Wednesday. And the extended 5 (five) day weather conditions may also change slightly.

On the other hand, moderate to heavy fog will fall in the country’s inland river basin until 9 am on Tuesday (February 2). In this case, the vision can be reduced to four meters or somewhere less. Ships in these areas have been asked to move carefully.

On Monday (February 1), the lowest recorded temperature in the country was 5.5 degrees Celsius in Srimangal. The highest temperature recorded at Teknaf was 26.6 degrees Celsius.
