The locals arrested Masud Alam, principal of Uttar Hamchhadi Government Primary School No. 1 in Laxmipur Sadar Upazila, while he was consuming yaba.
He has been drinking yaba in his room at night for several days. Upon realizing the affair, locals arrested him Monday night in Hatena along with the team to consume yaba. Later, local notables released the teacher on the condition that he be expelled from the school.
Meanwhile, after the incident, photos and videos of Masud Alam along with the team to wear yaba were posted on Facebook. President Farid Uddin said that action will be taken against the director by holding an emergency meeting of the steering committee.
According to local sources, Masood arrived by motorcycle for a few days and spent the night in his school room. The locals can guess the matter. In this regard, the locals were in Otpet on Monday night. Masood arrived at school around 8pm and entered the room and was drinking yaba.
At one point, the locals entered the room and arrested him (Masood) while he was drinking yaba in Hatena. In the room you can see yaba consumption equipment including plastic bottles and cork. At the time, Masood said that he would be corrected and assured that he would be transferred from that school to another location.

When the director called Masud Alam to hear his statement, he was greeted by a woman who identified herself as his wife. He said Masood left the phone and left the house. However, after trying later, his mobile phone could not connect.
