Education Minister Dipu Moni said that after the opening of the educational institution, now only 10th and 12th grade students will have regular classes. The rest will go to the educational institution one day a week and take classes.
Dipu Moni made the remarks in passing a proposal to amend the existing law in Parliament on Sunday to include the publication of HSC and equivalent results without examination.
He said: “You have been ordered to prepare for the opening of educational institutions for February 4. Initially there will be regular tenth and twelfth grade classes after the opening of the educational institution. Students from other classes will come once a week. It will take a whole week of reading. He will come again next week. “
He said there are a lot of students and they have to sit in the classroom. It is not possible to follow the hygiene rules. Therefore, arrangements will be made to bring students from all classes to class on different days without meeting them.
The government has already instructed heads of institutions to prepare for the opening of secondary-level educational institutions amid the coronavirus epidemic.
The directive was given in a letter sent to the heads of schools and universities in the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) on January 23.
All educational institutions in the country closed on March 16 last year after the coronavirus infection began in Bangladesh. All educational institutions except Qawmi Madrasa have been declared closed until January 30.
Earlier, Education Minister Dipu Moni had hinted that the educational institution could be reopened considering the number of candidates for SSC and HSC this year.
“We have asked the directors of educational institutions to prepare,” he told parliament on Sunday. Then, I will announce when the educational institution will open with the advice of the National Advisory Committee. “
Among the Kovid-19 epidemics, the government failed to conduct the final exams for the fifth and eighth exams last year and the annual exams at the primary and secondary levels.
However, to understand where the weak students are, students in Classes VI through IX are tested with weekly assignments in a short syllabus.
Since it was not possible to take last year’s HSC and equivalent tests, student results will be announced based on the final score of the eighth and SSC and equivalent results. That is why the bill was passed modifying the law in parliament on Sunday.
