According to a recent article on the World Bank website, approximately two and a half million children worldwide were denied access to school prior to the Corona epidemic. Therefore, the number of children dropping out of school in different countries during the Crown period will increase even more. Also, in developing and underdeveloped countries, it can have an adverse effect on girls. Child marriage and premature motherhood will increase. This will have an overall impact on the health, education and economic sectors of a region.
According to Save the Children, the crown can cause some 9 million children to drop out of school.
According to the World Bank, 53 percent of all child poverty in low- and middle-income countries is due to epidemics. Around 700 million children around the world continue to be educated at home. Schools or educational institutions from different countries, mainly developed and underdeveloped, have started their activities online. Studies in high-income countries have shown that this disruption of educational activities is causing huge deficits in students’ skills and, above all, increasing inequality among students.
Even after that, the governments of different countries have had to make the decision to close educational institutions, at least in terms of infrastructure, due to health threats. In Europe and America, however, the decision was made to open an educational institution after the end of the summer vacation. The moment was in early September last year. At that time, corona infestation rates in Europe and the United States were relatively low. The death rate in Corona also dropped slightly. Ensuring all kinds of medical care, Europe-America decided to open educational institutions. In particular, the question of wearing masks and social distancing was strictly confirmed.
