While he was sleeping in Bagha, Rajshahi, his wife Khodeja Begum allegedly cut a special organ from her husband Palan Uddin. The incident took place in the Harirampur area of upazila on Friday evening.
Monowar Begum from Harirampur village in Manigram of the upazila is known to live in her father’s house. Sometimes the husband Palan Uddin went to meet his wife. When they were late to meet, a fight broke out between them. At one point, when the husband fell asleep, he cut off his penis with a sharp blade. Seeing her husband’s bleeding, she took him to the Charghat Health Complex. Seeing her condition there, the wife left her husband at the hospital and fled.
A woman named Monowara Begum, who was with them, said that Khodeja Begum, 45, the fugitive’s wife, saw her husband bleeding and fell into a trance. Later it was found. Seeing his condition, he was immediately transferred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Abdul Mannan, a local MoneyGram Union member, said his wife had caused such an incident due to a family dispute between them.
Monowara Begum lives at her father’s house in the Harirampur Shanti Mor area of Manigram Union in upazila. Palan Uddin (32) is the son of Jamal Uddin from the village of Laxmipur in Bagatipara de Natore. Khodeja’s second husband, Palan Uddin. Khodeja is Palan’s second wife.
In this sense, Palan Uddin said, he married Khodeja Begum, daughter of Fain Uddin from the Harirampur village of Bagha upazila 5 months ago. After the marriage, his wife Khodeja Begum lives in her father’s house. Palan Uddin would occasionally go to his father-in-law’s house to meet his wife. The incident occurred due to a family dispute between husband and wife.
Charghat Upazila Health Complex doctor in charge. Moushumi Rahman said the man was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. None of his relatives were subsequently found.
Bagha OC Nazrul Islam Police Station said police were dispatched to the scene after hearing the news. No one has filed a complaint with the police. Legal action will be taken if a complaint is received.
