Joe Biden signed 15 executive orders and two official documents the first day after he was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States. He signed the orders in the Oval Office on Wednesday (January 20) local time.
On the first day, Biden surpassed Donald Trump and Barack Obama in terms of signing the executive order. Trump signed six executive orders and Barack Obama signed nine executive orders in the two weeks since he took office.
According to the BBC, Biden, by signing the executive order, made it clear that he was unwilling to delay Trump’s policy change.
After taking the oath of office, Biden went to the Oval Office and signed one executive order after another, saying, ‘There is no time to waste.
