After Mamunul Haque, Maulana Khaled Saifullah Ayubi, the Central Deputy General Secretary of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, was unable to make a statement even after attending the Waz Mahfil in Golapganj, Sylhet. He was rejected before he could go on stage.

The incident took place at a mahfil tafsir organized by Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jama’at Parishad Bangladesh in a field adjacent to the South Dhaka Sub-Registry Office in upazila on Tuesday.

Khaled Saifullah Ayub is known to have been scheduled to make the statement on Tuesday at a tafsir mahfil organized by Upazila Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jama’at Parishad. Previously, the administration prohibited him from attending the meeting. But when he arrived at the meeting, the administration did not allow him to go on stage.

Police Officer (CO) Harunur Rashid Chowdhury said: “There may be chaos in the mahfil and there may be chaos. That is why he was prevented from coming to the mahfil.”

Earlier on January 12, Mufti Mamunul Haque, Deputy Secretary General of Hifazat-e-Islam and Acting General Secretary of Khilafah Majlis, was unable to comment on the Waz Mahfil organized by Sheikhpur Tarun Sangha in Sheikhpur Shahi Eidgah Maidan in Bhadeswar Union of upazila .
