There are a total of 329 municipalities in the country. The EVM vote took place on December 26 in 24 municipalities in the first phase schedule. The third phase will take place on January 30 in 64 municipalities and the fourth phase will take place on February 14 in 56 municipalities. In the first phase, the Awami League candidates won in 19 of the 24 municipalities and the rebel party candidates won in 3 of them. The BNP candidates have won the other two.
