Bird flu is raising new concerns in India amid the Corona epidemic. Bird flu has also been reported in the country’s last capital, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Uttarakhand. Several birds died in those three states on Sunday. Bird flu was detected at the National Laboratory on Monday. Previously, bird flu epidemics were reported in six more states.

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Agriculture has called a meeting on bird flu control at 3pm local time on Monday. The committee has summoned officials from the Ministry of Livestock to inspect other infrastructure, including the vaccines needed to control the disease. Maharashtra’s chief minister, Uddhav Thackeray, is also sitting at the emergency meeting.

The country’s Livestock Minister Giriraj Singh today urged everyone to “cook and eat chicken properly.”

Haryana state has the highest number of bird deaths. More than 4 lakh birds have died in the state in recent weeks. The flu has also spread to Jammu and Kashmir. However, no human infection was reported anywhere.

Previously, bird flu was detected in Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Gujarat. As a result, many birds have died in these states. The Delhi government banned the import of chickens into the largest poultry market after bird flu was detected. Recently, many chickens have died in the village of Murumba in the Parwani district of the state. Once the sample was collected, it was sent for analysis. The tests have detected avian influenza (bird flu).

According to the central government, bird flu has not yet spread among the country’s population. However, it must be controlled before it spreads. Last Saturday, 1,200 dead birds were reported across the country.
