In Bogra, a party artist DJ (14) has been raped more than once and his niece (13) has been raped. Police arrested three people, including a woman, in the incident.
The victim’s father filed a case at the Sadar police station on Saturday morning. The incident took place on the night of January 8 in a rented apartment on Dattabari Benikund Lane in the city.
Those arrested are artist DJ Nisha Khatun Niha, 19, from Kamalpur Char in Sariakandi upazila de Bogra, Nayan Mia Shah, 30, son of Anisar Rahman from the Mahishaban union in Gabtali upazila and Mofaz de Thanapara in Gaibandha. Raju lives on the fourth floor of the Minko Palace in Chelipara in Bogra and Dattabari Benikundu Road in Niha. The defendants and the victims are DJ party performers.
The plaintiff mentioned in the statement that his daughter and granddaughter had a DJ party with the defendant Nisha Khatun Nihar at different locations. On that occasion, the defendants Raju and Nayan went to the house of the father of another defendant Nihar in Malgram and danced. There, the accused met his daughter and granddaughter.
According to Raju’s previous plan, the defendant took the two victims to the fourth floor of the rented apartment of the Minko Palace on Dattabari Benikundu Lane in Nihar city around 11 am on January 8. Around 9 pm, Raju Ahmed telephoned the accused Nayan Mia Shah.
At around 9.30pm, Raju took his daughter (plaintiff) into a room and Nayan took her granddaughter to another room. Raju threatened and raped her more than once during the night. Nayan also tried to abuse and rape her granddaughter. The defendant Niha assisted in this work.
The victims subsequently escaped from the flat and returned home and disclosed the incident. A case was brought against the three defendants at the Sadar police station on Saturday morning. Later, the police arrested them.
The investigating officer on the case, Sadar SI Sohail Rana Police Station, said the three arrested defendants were sent to jail through the court. In addition, a medical examination of the victims and statements under article 22 have been made in his court.
