The mother of 18-year-old Tanvir Iftefar Dihan, accused of raping and killing a schoolgirl in Kalabagan in the capital, sent an email to the media about the incident. There he made his statement. As a mother, she was shocked and demanded justice.

As a mother, I collected information from Dihan’s friend and tried to find out if my son had been raped and murdered. Because as Woman, I never want a teenager to be disrespected or raped. ”
On January 7, around 10:45 am, I left Dihan home alone to visit my sick father and went to Bogra. My other son was at his workplace. After crossing the Jamuna Bridge, at 2:45 p.m., we initially learned that Dihan’s girlfriend had died in the Modern Hospital. That’s why the police arrested Dihan. I quickly arrived in Dhaka and saw the police at my house. I found out that the girl came to my house to meet Dihan, was raped and died. ”
“As a mother, I have been able to guess a little more beforehand, my son is involved in a relationship. But it was not known with any girl. However, looking at the close-up photos with Dihan, writing poems about Dihan, etc. In the Facebook ID of the girl (……) from different media, it seems that Dihan is involved with this girl. I guess Dihan contacted the girl after I left the house and she came to my house. The girl came to my house because she had a loyal relationship with Dihan. ‘
“I don’t think Dihan called the girl at home with the purpose of raping or murdering her.” One loves the other, so the call may be to spend time alone. They are both young, underage and my son is 18 years and 6 months. Sitting emotionally, both of them engaged in a physical relationship and showed immaturity. What happened next appears to be an accident. If my son were a rapist or a murderer, he would try to save himself but did not. He took the girl to the hospital. The girl’s mother called and admitted the incident to the police.
‘As a woman, I also want my son to have a fair trial if my son hurts him. But I want to trust that the police administration and the judiciary will investigate whether the girl had a sexual relationship of her own free will and whether the bleeding and death were solely due to sexual intercourse. I urge everyone in the community not to identify my son as a rapist or murderer before trial.
