Own report– July 12, 2011. Software engineer Jr. Mridha died on the Belgharia Highway. But his body was recovered on the side of the road. At first, the police thought it was a hit-and-run case. But later post-mortem reports showed a bullet lodged in the back of his head. Barahanagar police launched an investigation. Two years after the incident, the police were unable to arrest anyone. The investigation appeared to be stalled. Then Junior’s family approached Superior Court to demand an investigation from CBI. The court responded to the request of Mridha’s minor family.

Mohun Bagan’s former boss, businessman Balram Chowdhury’s ex-daughter-in-law Priyanka aka Moon, and Tollywood producer Pratik Sharma were named in the murder. The court also allowed his polygraph tests. The CID said that after the investigation, there were 200 telephone conversations between Pratik and Moon on the night of Junior’s murder. Symbol, however, claimed that Moon called him to tell him that one of his friends had died. Symbol claimed to have comforted him over the phone. Junior’s father, Samresh Mridha, however, claimed he was involved with Pratik and Moon. And Junior’s murder is due to the complexity of that triangular love. Moon was Jr. Junior’s ‘Facebook friend’ and he also spoke to Moon by phone 14 times on the day of the murder. CCTV footage showed Junior went to Moon’s house that day.
