Police report on the release of Erfan Selim

Erfan Selim, son of Dhaka-6 MP Haji Selim, has been acquitted in a weapons and drugs case and a final police report has been filed charging his bodyguard.

On Monday, the investigating officer in the case, Chawkbazar Police Station Inspector (Operations) Muhammad Delwar Hossain Erfan Selim, recommended his release and filed a charge sheet against bodyguard Zahid at CMM’s court in Dhaka.

The Chawkbazar Police Station OC Moudud Hasan confirmed the matter. He said it was recommended that Erfan Selim be released from the case.

On October 25 last year, Navy Lieutenant Wasif Ahmed Khan was riding a motorcycle in the area of ​​the Kalabagan police station in the capital. Councilor Erfan Selim’s son, MP Haji Selim’s car hit him.

Although he identified himself, the defendant got out of the car, hit him and threatened to kill him. He abused his wife with obscene language.

Wasif Ahmad Khan filed a case with the Dhanmondi Police Station. Erfan was later arrested with a gun from his home. After the weapons and drugs were recovered, the RAB filed four separate cases against Irfan and Zahid under the Arms and Narcotics Control Act at the Chawkbazar police station in the capital.

Chawkbazar Police Inspector Delwar Hossain investigated all four cases.
