PK Haldar was accused of embezzling money from this miserable financial institution. According to media reports, PK Haldar has embezzled billions of rupees from various financial institutions in the country through fraud. As a result, the institutions have declared bankruptcy and cannot repay the client’s deposits.
In the midst of all this, PK Haldar secretly left the country. At one point, the Superior Court issued the rule on its own initiative. The High Court also wants to know what steps have been taken to return PK Haldar to the country and arrest him.
Knowing that a reasoned rule had been issued against PK Haldar, the People’s Leasing depositors approached ACC’s attorney to voice their complaints to the Superior Court.
Following this, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan told a virtual court of the high court of Judge Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Judge Ahmed Sohail on Sunday that some of the People’s Leasing depositors wanted to say something. .
At one point, the four depositors joined the Superior Court with permission and spoke about their plight.

At the time, a depositor named Samia bint Mahbub told the High Court with tears in her eyes: ‘My Lord, today I am a cancer patient. I do not have a job now. My husband has not had a job since Corona arrived. My husband and I deposited our hard-earned money into People’s Leasing. We can’t get our money now!
“I have become so helpless that I have not been able to get my children into school this time. For the past year I have not been able to feed the children some fish meat. We are dying of financial and human suffering. Who are we going to now? My Lord, save us with your sincere appeal. “

At one point, the daughter of former Chief Justice Mustafa Kamal. Nasheed Kamal told the High Court: ‘My lord, my father and 5 family members, including me, have deposited money with People’s Leasing. We keep our money in good faith. We have learned in the media that PK Haldar has taken money from here. People’s Leasing is a financial institution controlled by Bangladesh Bank. So, as a depositor here, I want our money back.
The longing of a heroic freedom fighter
Md. Shawkatur Rahman, a heroic freedom fighter and former student of Dhaka University, told the High Court: ‘My Lord, did I make the country independent to deceive myself? I want my deposit back. ‘
After hearing these words from the depositors, the court sided with them at the PK Haldar rule hearing. Depositors were also asked to submit an affidavit in court and the next hearing was scheduled for January 5.
Lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan was present today at the court hearing on behalf of the ACC. Deputy Attorney General AKM Aminuddin Manik and Deputy Attorneys General Mahjabin Rabbani Deepa and Anna Khanam Kali represented the state.
