Chapainawabganj Additional Police Superintendent Mahbub Alam Khan said that a case had been registered at the Sadar Police Station. A police inspector has been assigned to investigate. A teenager named Nayan was arrested at his home in the Arambagh area of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila around 12:30 pm on Saturday.
He added that after recovering Rohan’s body, various police teams raided different locations to catch the accused teenager by looking at CC’s images from the hospital. He was later arrested by a team of detectives from his home around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
During preliminary questioning, Nayan informed the police that the boy was abducted and taken to the hospital to beg. He later dumped the boy into an uncapped septic tank at the back of the hospital morgue.
The police superintendent said that Nayan’s mother worked in someone else’s home and that Nayan used to beg. Your income is less when you go begging. After hearing the story of the kidnapping and begging on TV, he kidnapped Suhan Ali’s son Rohan two days ago and started begging. This increases your income.
