The police arrested Nuru Baburchi aka Nuru Dakat and her three children in Hijla Upazila of Barisal. Police arrested them in the village of Andharmanik in Mehendiganj upazila, near the Hijla border, around 2.30pm on Friday (January 1). Besides Nuru, her 3 children are Enamul Baburchi, Imran Baburchi and Ehsan Baburchi. All three will be delivered to the field on Sunday.
Nuru Baburchi was released last July after serving 14 years in a weapons case. In the past three months after his release from jail, he has brutally hacked his brother Dulal Baburchi and his wife Nilufa Begum, his cousin Kanchan Baburchi and last but not least Kanchan Baburchi’s son Shahid Baburchi. Nuru mutilates each of them.
The president of the Union Guabaria Parishad, Shahjahan Talukder, said that Nuru Baburchi is a terrible terrorist. He was released in July last year after serving 14 years in a gun case. Since then, he has hacked and injured 4 blood relatives. Additionally, Nuru has stabbed more than one person at different times.
Hijla Police Station OC Asim Kumar Sikder said that Nuru and her three sons were also involved in every incident of attacking the opponent with sharp weapons. Nuru Baburchi is being questioned. It will be sent to court on Sunday. Eight cases are pending at Hijla Police Station, including a gang rape against Nuru Baburchi.
