Charmonai Pir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim has again become the Emir of the Islamic Movement of Bangladesh for the next 5 years.
He is the Ameer of the party since 2008. On the other hand, Maulana Yunus Ahmad has been elected secretary general of the party for two years.
The Central Committee of the 2021-22 session of the Bangladesh Islamic Movement was announced at a Shura meeting held at the IAB auditorium in Purana Paltan on Saturday.
Amir changed teams for 5 years in a row. The post of Secretary General was changed after 2 years.
The Shura session reconstituted the 11-member Presidium, the 63-member Majlis Amela Central, and the 19-member Advisory Council.
The organizational report for the last session was presented and plans for the next two years were approved. Furthermore, the utmost importance is attached to participation in local municipal elections and 4,558 union councils.
