After returning home, the police questioned Dilwar. Then Dilwar reported on the tunnel. Later on Friday, a task force led by the Karimganj district police superintendent carried out an operation in the Balia area. The police found a tunnel there more than 200 meters long.

Karimganj District Police Superintendent Mayank Kumar Jhan told Anandabazar that the tunnel location was covered with forests. Barbed wire fence above. Tunnel under it. The BSF has been asked to close the Indian part of the tunnel immediately, the police superintendent said. He is also in contact with senior BSF officials on the matter. They have already arrested several people in the incident. They are being questioned.
