Ayesha Khanam was born on October 16, 1948 in the village of Gabragati between Netrokona and Durgapur. Father Golam Ali Khan and mother Khamatunnesa Khanam.

Ayesha has been associated with student politics since the 1982 student movement demanding the abolition of the Hamidur Rahman Education Commission.

However, he has been actively involved in the student movement since 1986. As a result, he was at the forefront of all movements and struggles that took place to advance the path of the War of Independence, including the mass uprisings of 1971, the the 1970 elections and the 1971 non-cooperation movement.

In 1971, Ayesha Khanam, a student at Dhaka University and a leader in struggle, was vice chair of the central committee of the Bangladesh Student Union.

Rokeya has also served as general secretary-elect and vice president of the hall. As a result, at the beginning of the liberation war, the responsibility for organizing the students in Dhaka fell primarily on Ayesha and her fellow student leaders.

In addition, as a student leader, he has also actively participated in the construction of public awareness and opinion in favor of the freedom movement in different parts of the country.
