An autorickshaw driver has been sent to jail after being arrested in a case of raping a 16-year-old girl in Daganbhuiyan upazila of Feni. He was sent to the district jail through the Feni Judicial Court on Friday. Said the defendant. Another man, Russell, 32, is on the run.
The name of the autorickshaw driver is Khurshid Alam (35). He is a resident of Daganbhuiyan upazila of Feni and an autorickshaw driver.
According to the case and police sources, the girl went to the town of Feni on Wednesday afternoon to see a doctor. Around 9pm, he boarded a GNC autorickshaw to return home from the Mahipal area in Feni. There was another passenger in that autorickshaw. The teenager was alone in the autorickshaw as a passenger after staying in the middle. Autorickshaw driver Khurshid Alam passed the time in a number of ways. He took the girl home around 1 am. Khurshid said his friend. He called Russell and took him home. Later, at night, two friends raped the girl. At one point, the girl escaped from Khurshid’s home and took refuge in a nearby house. From there, the girl returned home Thursday morning and filed a case at the Daganbhuiyan Police Station.
