The ruling Awami League party has announced a 72-member science and technology subcommittee. Obaidul Quader, the party’s general secretary, approved the subcommittee.

Professor Hossain Mansur has been appointed chairman of the subcommittee and ex officio secretary of science and technology of the Awami League, engineer Md. Abdus Sabur is the secretary member of this committee.

Following the committee’s announcement, the leaders paid tribute to the portrait of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangabandhu Bhaban facility in Dhanmondi on Friday.

After paying their respects, the chairman of the subcommittee, Professor Hossain Mansur, said that the country is moving forward under the prime minister’s leadership. There has also been a great improvement in the information technology sector. The members of the Science and Technology Subcommittee will work to take the country’s science and technology further.

In addition, the leaders and workers of the Chhatra League, Juba League, Swechchhasebak League and Krishka League at grassroots level across the country will be prepared as their master coaches through proper training.

Engineer Md. Abdus Sabur also said that in the next five-year plan, the opinions of the expert team of the subcommittee on science and technology will be presented to the government. The committee will work tirelessly to fulfill the dream of the nation’s father, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, to build a modern Bangladesh with people’s leader Sheikh Hasina and to build a digital Bangladesh for his worthy son Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
