The Awami League has been celebrating the ‘Victory of Democracy’ Day on December 30 in Dhaka and across the country on the anniversary of the Eleventh Parliamentary Election.
On the occasion of the day, Obaidul Quader addressed a discussion conference organized by the Awami League of the Metropolitan North of Dhaka at the Krishibid Institute in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.
He said: “BNP has terrorized the 11th parliamentary election in 2014. They have set the entire country on fire. No one will be able to beat BNP’s record in voting history in the history of Bangladesh. They have done power politics, not democracy.
Welcoming any peaceful BNP program, the secretary general of the Awami League said: “If any anarchy is created on behalf of the movement, the government will take strict measures to protect the resources of the people.”
Jahangir Kabir Nanak, member of the Awami League presidium, said: “Who are the people celebrating the Day of the Death of Democracy today? They are the party that believes in democracy, ’10 Honda, 20 thugs-cold choice ‘.
“They don’t understand democracy, their democracy is the creation of aerial buildings. Their democracy consists of establishing forces against independence. Their democracy is to create militancy in the country, to try to save the murderers of Bangabandhu ”.
Awami League Deputy General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim said: “BNP wanted to do non-politics in Bangladesh. They want to establish a politics based on religion in this country. Those who want to create militancy in the country as a reactionary force will not be allowed to rise up ”.
Stating that democracy is being established in Bangladesh under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, he said: “Democracy has been established by popular leader Sheikh Hasina and continues. And BNP wants to destroy democracy in this country. Democracy has never been safe. in their hands and it will not be in the future. They are the artisans of the destruction of democracy. “
Awami League Organizing Secretary Ahmed Hossain, Mirza Azam and Awami League North General Secretary HM Mannan Kochi addressed the meeting under the chairmanship of Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman.
