The government will raise honors master’s courses at 315 private universities in the country in the future. In addition to the approved courses of these faculties, several courses will be opened, including technical ones. The Ministry of Education is working to go through this process.
If you want to know if there will be private master’s degrees with honors, said the Minister of Education. Dipu Moni said: ‘We no longer want to create a certified unemployed person. The Prime Minister is establishing universities in the districts. So those who do Honors-Masters will do it from college. I can do several short courses in addition to the degree approval courses. ‘
Arguing for not having honors courses, the education minister said: ‘You cannot get a job studying at a private honors university. A large gap is created between expectation and achievement, creating frustration among those who go through this process (Honors-Masters in private schools). It is not pleasant for parents. He taught the child, he has an expectation of work, not a job. They cannot acquire the necessary qualifications to do anything. We are taking the initiative to solve these various problems.
According to relevant sources, undergraduate professors from private universities enrolled in the MPO receive a portion of the government salary allocation, but honors master’s level professors do not get that benefit. For the past 26 years, they have been demanding the inclusion of positions in the workforce structure as the ultimate solution to hardship.
In 1993, the National University approved the Master’s with Honors level at MPO registered universities up to degree level. The school authorities approve the Honors-Masters course with the condition of paying the basic salary of the teachers in the scale prescribed by the regulations. The National University instructs the institutions to pay the salaries and assignments of the professors from the tuition fees of the interested universities. Because of this, the Honors-Masters level teaching position found no place in the colleges’ workforce structure. As a result, they were deprived of the opportunity to join the MPO in light of government regulations. And this problem has not been solved in the last 28 years. Teachers recruited at the master’s level with honors on behalf of more than 4,000 teachers in the last 315 universities have recently proposed to the government to address the plight of teachers in an alternative way.
If you want to know the future of Honors-Master level teachers, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said: ‘I am taking the initiative to solve the problem. This may take some time. But if we make one kind of decision in the MPO record, again if we introduce a different new system, coordination will become a bigger problem. That is why more judicial analysis is needed.
