Holder-Pollards is not on tour in Bangladesh due to fear of coronavirus

Cricket West Indies announced the team for two tests and three ODIs Tuesday. Darren Bravo, Shamar Brooks, Roston Chase, Sheldon Cottrell, Evin Lewis, Shea Hope, Shimron Hetmeyer and Nicholas Puran have been named to the coronavirus squad for the coronavirus scare. And Fabian Allen and Shane Daurich aren’t there for family reasons.

The West Indies have given players the freedom not to play in a series outside the country during the epidemic. If someone walks away, it will not be an obstacle to their playing in the future.

Experienced starter Craig Brathwaite will lead the test team in Holder’s absence. He led the Caribbeans in this edition during his last visit to Bangladesh in 2016. Jermaine Blackwood, who did well in the last series in New Zealand, has been named co-captain.

First-rate hitter Cavem Hodge has been named to the test team for the first time. The effective turn with the left arm has also played an important role in his team. Left arm starters Shane Mozley and Kyle Myers have been named to the team for the England and New Zealand tour.

In Pollard’s absence, Jason Mohamed led the ODI team. He last played for the West Indies in 2016. Co-captain Sunil Ambris in this edition.

Left-arm spinning off-roader Akil Hossain and left-arm first-rate hitter Kejran Ottley have been named to the ODI squad for the first time.

The West Indies team will arrive in Dhaka on January 10. The first two games of the ODI series will be played on January 20 and 22 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. At the beginning of January 17, the Caribbeans will play a one-day match in preparation for the BKSP. The final match of the ODI series will be played on January 25 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

The West Indies will play a four-day preparation match at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong from January 27-31. The first test starts at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on February 3 and the second test at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium starts on February 11.
