BNP Major (retd) Vice President Hafiz Uddin Ahmed has claimed that only freedom fighters fight in the streets in the movement to restore democracy.

He said rape happens every day, where is the protest? There is no democracy in the country, where is the protest? There are many political parties, they are calculating who will come to power. I don’t see them on the streets for democracy. But BNP freedom fighters and all other types of freedom fighters have already shown their courage by taking to the streets multiple times.

He said this at a discussion meeting at the Dhaka Reporters Unity auditorium in Segundobagicha in the capital on Tuesday afternoon. The meeting was jointly organized by the Nationalist Party of Freedom Fighters and the Generation of the War of Liberation Organization.

On December 14, the BNP issued a notice of demonstration cause against Hafiz Uddin Ahmed for alleged anti-party activities. This is the first time he has addressed a public event on a virtual platform since responding to a notice of cause for the show on December 19.

Hafiz Uddin said: “My humble call to the leaders and workers of the BNP is to take to the streets to remove the stone of this misrule, the misrule of Awami.” Whoever takes to the streets and dismisses this government will restore democracy, restore the right to vote, restore human dignity; We will all take firm steps in the streets as your supporting force. We will remove this instinctive government of the neighboring state from the state power of Bangladesh by building a strong unity between the common people and the fighting people; this is our promise today.

Mahmudur Rahman Manna, the convenor of Citizens’ Unity, said: “Our academics, economists, prominent brokers, intellectuals and cronies are saying that Bangladesh is moving forward.” But the hungry people in front of us, the hungry people, the people without rights cannot speak before our eyes. Seeing them, anger begins to accumulate in the mind, in the chest, I want to rebel. Then the police were thrown in front of us. Manna called on everyone to unite and join the movement to overcome this situation.

Muktijoddha Dal Chairman Syed Ishtiaq Aziz Ulfat chaired the meeting and General Secretary Sadeq Ahmed Khan also addressed the meeting. Jafrullah Chowdhury, Kalyan Party Chairman, Major General (retired) Syed Muhammad Ibrahim, BNP Vice Chairman Shawkat Mahmud, Deputy Secretary General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Liberation War Affairs Secretary Joynal Abedin, Kalam Liberation War Generation Fayezi, Raihan Al Mahmud Rana.
