“We are trying to provide student ID numbers in academic year 2021 instead of this class roster number issue. We hope the old roster number system will be abolished and unwanted competition will be stopped and a spirit of honest competition among students, “he said.
The Education Minister said this at a virtual press conference on Tuesday.
In the case of the coronavirus epidemic, this time roster numbers will not be issued to students in the new high school classes.
He said that instead of the list number given above based on the merit of the annual exam, this time the students will be given the ID number.
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said that a unique ID will be given to all primary school students. Throughout your education, you will have that identification number, so that you can be “traced” whether you drop out of school or not.
Meanwhile, the Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education, Zakir Hossain, said that primary school students will take the role of the previous class and move on to the next.
He said: ‘We have no plans to give a (primary) identification number. The previous roll number (year) (new class) will be given.
