Stating that information was found that four thieves were arrested in the incident, CID official Hasibul Aziz said they were working to unravel the murder mystery immediately after the incident. After 10 days of investigation, the CID’s Additional Special Superintendent of Police, Mukta Dhar, found out the cause of the murder and revealed the mystery of the arrest and murder of the main defendant.
Mukta Dhar, who was present at the press conference yesterday, told reporters that a total of nine people were involved in the robbery and murder at Monir’s home. On December 16, around 1:30 p.m., all but one entered Monir Hossain’s house by climbing over the wall. Each of them had a mask on their faces.

He said that after the incident, relatives first sent Monir and his wife to the local hospital in critical condition. Monir Hossain died on the way to Dhaka from there. Monowara Begum is still in treatment at the hospital. A case was filed at the Laxmipur Sadar Police Station on December 16 for the incident.
According to CID sources, Mamunur Rashid, 35, from Laxmipur was arrested for the first time on December 16 at one stage of the investigation. Mamun later confessed to the theft during questioning. According to their information, Abul Kalam Azad, Farooq and Ayub, who were involved in the robbery, were arrested in different areas of Chittagong. According to his information, the motorcycle was recovered from Ayub’s house.
According to CID sources, there are four cases of murder and robbery at the Laxmipur police station, two at the Chandraganj police station and three at the Kamalnagar, Sudharam and Langalkot police stations on behalf of Azad. A case has been brought against Mamun on behalf of Arms and Ayub Ali in the Subarnachar area of Noakhali on various charges, including murder.
