Rahman’s father was also a very talented music director. Originally worked in Malayalam films. He has directed music for more than one hundred films. Following in his footsteps, Rahman also entered the world of music. In his childhood he directed several documentaries and commercials. He then entered the world of cinema in the early 1990s with the Tamil film ‘Red’. He made a bet on the first movie. The song ‘Roza’ is popular throughout India. Later he worked in many films, including ‘Bombay’ and ‘Rang De Basanti’. He won an Oscar in 2009 for Slumdog Millionaire. He has also won numerous national awards, including two Grammy Awards. He also received the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civil honor in India. He also directed the movie ‘Le Mask’ in 2016.
