At a rally in Kushtia to protest the vandalism of the sculptures of Bangabandhu and the revolutionary Bagha Jatin, District Police Superintendent (SP) SM Tanvir Arafat warned supporters of the vandalism, saying in a statement that he spoke in favor of Bangladesh in the war of liberation.

The signatories to the declaration are Sarwar Ali, Ramendu Majumder, Abdus Selim, Mamunur Rashid, Mofidul Haque, Shahriar Kabir, Muntasir Mamun, Nasiruddin Yusuf, Golam Quddush, Hasan Arif and Ahkamullah.

“We believe that this police officer spoke for Bangladesh in the liberation war,” the statement said. His statement on the subject of sculpture has once again clarified the basic aspirations that Bangladesh achieved by fighting with the ideology and weapons of Bangabandhu.

Speaking at a rally in Kushtia’s Kumarkhali on December 24 to protest the vandalism of the sculpture, the SP said: “If you do not comply with the constitution and laws of Bangladesh, you have three options.” One, do the opposite, break the arm, go to jail. The second option is to remain completely silent. পারবেন You cannot ask any questions about the history of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu, independence. Live your life in silence. And number three is if you don’t like Bangladesh, then you can go to your guava Pakistan. ‘

Regarding Hifazat’s statement requesting the removal of the police superintendent because of this statement, 11 citizens said: “The statement of Hifazat-e-Islam against the SP statement has clarified his anti-conscience stance from 1971.”

Recalling the glorious role of the police in the liberation war, they said: “Everyone knows that on the night of March 25, 1971, the Bangladesh Police formed the first resistance against Pakhanadar forces.” We have noticed in the speech of the SP from Kushtia that the rebellious conscience of the historians in Rajarbagh. It has raised a strong and conscious position for Bangladesh in the liberation war.

“We know very well this part that contradicts the statement of the SP. These are the defeated forces of evil of 1971. Generation of barbarian Pakistanis. Different eras come to the fore in different identities. Sometimes Jamaat Shibir. Never custody. They still don’t believe in the independence of Bangladesh. For this reason, they have shown the courage to smash the sculpture of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. After that, no discount can be given to them. That is why we think that the SP has given one last warning to these extremists, ”they said in a statement.

Faced with this situation, they demanded the arrest of those who opposed and threatened the SP’s declaration and called on all those who believe in the spirit of the liberation war to form a united resistance.
