In the first phase, the vote will take place in 24 municipalities of the country on Monday. Continuous voting will take place at the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) from 8 am to 4 pm.

The electoral campaign ended in these municipalities on Saturday. All preparations have been made by the Electoral Commission (EC) on the occasion of the election. Executive and judicial magistrates, along with members of law enforcement agencies, including the BGB, RAB, police and Ansar will be on duty at the electoral college.

The additional secretary of the EC Secretariat, Ashok Kumar Debnath, said that all preparations for the elections have already been completed. The environment and the situation in the district are good. Law enforcement is on the ground. No complaints were reported. All voting arrangements have been made at EVM.

The municipalities to be voted on tomorrow are: Panchagarh, Pirganj in Thakurgaon, Fulbari in Dinajpur, Badarganj in Rangpur, Puthia and Katakhali in Rajshahi, Shahjadpur in Sirajganj, Chatmohar in Pabna, Khoksa in Kushtia, Chuadanga in Chunnagaarga. , Gafargaon from Mymensingh, Madan from Netrokona, Manikganj, Dhamrai from Dhaka, Dirai from Sunamganj, Baralekha from Moulvibazar, Shayestaganj from Habiganj and Sitakundu from Chittagong.

On November 22, the EC announced the calendar for the first phase of the 25 municipal elections. The BNP candidate for mayor of the Sreepur municipality in Gazipur died in the middle of the elections. The municipality has rescheduled the polls on January 18. The remaining 24 municipalities will vote tomorrow.
